4 Lima-area youth honored as Eagle Scouts

LIMA — Four local youth were awarded with Eagle Scout designation.

Brenton Erman is the son of Clay and Karla Erman. He is a 2015 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and is just finishing his freshman year at Wright State University in Fairborn where he is majoring in computer engineering. For his Eagle Scout project, he built five picnic tables for the city of Delphos. They have been placed at Leisure Park.

Ethan Kimmett is the son of Drew and Cindy Kimmett. He is a senior at Shawnee High School. For his project, Ethan repaired and restored the defunct school greenhouse to working order, installed working heating and temperature control and automatic irrigation system, and started an installation of various tropical, desert, and temperate plants for use in science education.

Evan Mohler is the son of Jeff and Joyce Mohler. A 2016 graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. Evan’s Eagle Scout Project was building a purple martin birdhouse for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District.

Trent Closson is the son of Tony and Sharon Closson and a big brother to Sara. He is a senior at Delphos St. John’s High School. For Trent’s Eagle project, he upgraded old and installed new nest boxes throughout the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks
