Scout Sunday is February 7, 2021

Each year on Feb. 8, the Boy Scouts of America celebrates its birthday. It’s a date officially known as Scouting Anniversary Day.

But this is more than an excuse to eat an extra s'more and commemorate another year of Scouting adventures. It's also when Packs, Troops, Crews and Ships honor a Scout's "Duty to God."

Chinquapin District has the honor of awarding the very first female Eagle Scout rank in the Black Swamp Area Council! 

Ashtyn Wiyrick of Troop 29G and Crew 265 officially earned her rank on January 31, 2021. She will be included in the National Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts. Check out the Be The Change event on February 21st!

Register for Roundtable
District Planning Campout May 14-16, 2021 at Camp Lakota
Are you a Unit Leader (CM, SM, NA) or District Member? Do you have an interest in what plans the District makes? Then you need to attend our annual District Planning Conference May 15, 2021

No cost to attend.
Food will be provided.
Camp with us, or just attend the conference on Saturday.
Registration will be required.

We have 50 units in our District and all should be present (at least Saturday). We will discuss Operations through Dec 2022 including Advancement, Training, Membership, Finance and Activities. Will we plan camporees? Yes. But we will plan MUCH MORE!

Remember:
If we fail to plan, we plan to fail.
Together, you can help us make an adventure for our Scouts.
