Meffley takes over as Council President

Dr. Daniel Meffley, of Defiance, began his tenure as Black Swamp Area Council Executive Board President, taking over for Sherri Garner Brumbaugh who has served as president since 2018.
At the Council’s Annual Meeting and Recognition Luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at the Tri Star Career Center in Celina, he took the gavel from outgoing president Sherri Garner Brumbaugh.
Dr. Meffley chairs the 47-member executive board, alongside Council Commissioner Michelle Waggoner. Outgoing president Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, of Garner Trucking, Findlay, will continue to serve on the board as Past-President.
Prior to taking the helm of the council, Dan has most recently served as Executive Vice President and Council Commissioner previously. He is a Silver Beaver recipient and longtime volunteer in Black Swamp Area Council.
