You are invited to the Black Swamp Area Council Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday February 8, Noon at the Tri-Star Career Compact Center, 7655 Sr 703, Celina, OH as a part of our Council’s Scouters Conference. The Annual Meeting will be part of the Council Annual recognition luncheon.  Election of Council Members-at-Large and Executive Board Members for 2020-2021 will occur at this meeting. Chartered Organization Representatives, Council Members-at-Large and Executive Board Members, are voting members of the Council for this election.

The following individuals have been appointed to the nominating committee: Mark Miller Committee Chair, Keith Eiden, Dick Altman and Kraig Noble.

Each year in anticipation of the Council’s annual meeting a nominating committee is appointed to seek out additional persons to serve on the Council’s Executive Board.  The goal is to find qualified men and women from each county in the Council who are willing to provide servant leadership to the Scouting program.   While it is helpful, the individual is not required to have a Scouting background.  It is more important that the individual be committed to youth and be willing to commit their time, and resources to the Council.

If you know a community member who may be willing to volunteer as a member of the Council Executive Board or a District Committee, please fill out the survey at this link: Council Executive Board Nomination Survey 2020 by January 15.  Please do not contact the individual directly.  A member of the nominating committee will contact the individual after all suggestions have been reviewed.

The Scouters Conference, which will include a Council Key 3 meeting, Council Coordinated Meeting, the Council Annual Meeting with Recognition Luncheon and Executive Board Meeting.  A spouse’s program is being planned in addition.  The Council Annual Meeting will take place during the Annual Recognition Luncheon, where this year’s class of Silver Beavers will be presented.  Registration will be available at www.BlackSwampBSA.org
