Scoutbook Single Sign On

Overview

Scoutbook was updated on December 20 to provide the new Single Sign On (SSO) feature. This process allows users to log in with the same credentials as my.scouting accounts. For details, please review the FAQ here. In addition, the Scoutbook database will undergo a transformation to include current, active BSA registrants and advancement information for those who are not currently in Scoutbook. This is essential to launching Scoutbook on January 1, 2019, as a free platform for all units.

Impact

Scoutbook will be unavailable during maintenance from 10 AM, CT, on Friday, December 28, through Monday, December 31. A maintenance page will display while system work is done. Units that must enter completed rank advancements will have Internet Advancement available. If a unit does not currently use Internet Advancement, Councils will need to provide Unit IDs for use in account creation.

Timeline

The final update for the Scoutbook is planned for December 31. Once this is completed the Scoutbook Banner and Blog will announce when Scoutbook is available for use.
