Hancock County Spring Clean Up is April 25
The Hancock County Solid Waste Management District is seeking volunteers to help with the Community Spring Cleanup Event. As part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup, you can accumulate community service hours in your area by completing a cleanup anytime during the month of April or choose to do it the day of the Spring Cleanup Appreciation Luncheon which will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Selecting an area to collect litter and debris is simple and can be done at your convenience during the month of April in coordination of a group meeting or volunteer event. To be included in the Community Spring Cleanup please fill out the enclosed registration form and return it to the Hancock County SWMD at 300 S. Main St., Findlay, Ohio 45840, or email it to HancockSWMD@co.hancock.oh.us no later than April 15, 2026.
Please make sure to indicate if you and your co-volunteers will also be attending the free Appreciation Luncheon which will be held at Brucklacher Memorial Park – next to The Little Red Schoolhouse – 8884 County Rd 236 Findlay. The luncheon will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. During the free appreciation luncheon we will be serving pizza, beverages and offering door prize opportunities in addition to recognizing your efforts. We appreciate your help to keep our community clean and litter-free and truly look forward to seeing you at the luncheon!
I’m happy to provide trash bags for your volunteer group to use and free disposal of collected materials will be available during the luncheon. Please email HancockSWMD@co.hancock.oh.us or call the office at 419-424-7210 should you need bags for your cleanup efforts and we will make arrangements for pickup.
Thank you for all you do to help keep Hancock County area roads clean and litter free.
Respectfully,
Courtney O’Flaherty, Hancock County SWMD – Recycling Education
