SHOW & SELL PRODUCT ARRIVING NEXT WEEK

Show & Sell Product is scheduled to arrive at the Findlay warehouse on Thursday, Aug. 21. Depending on delivery time and sort, times for pickup are to be determined. We are awaiting additional information before scheduling pickup times for units with S&S orders for units as it will be Friday and maybe Saturday, if possible.

PIZZA PARTY RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED

As part of the incentive for signing up to be an Early Bird unit, these four units were recipients of a $50 pizza coupon from a location of their choosing. The drawing was completed on Facebook Live and shared out directly with the units.

EXTRA SALE SUPPLIES AVAILABLE

We have a selection of sales kits items available. If you need extra order forms, Scout or Unit envelopes, leader’s guidebooks, banners, tasting kits, etc, please contact Jim Mason at the office, while supplies last.

TWO PAGE ORDER FORM IS COMING

There are versions of the order form in a front/back format being printed and available soon. Like the Work Tent Order Form, but this form will have all products on one side, in the same direction. Keep an eye out when this form becomes available.

KICKOFF POWER POINT AVAILABLE

The Popcorn Power Point presentation from the Fall Kickoffs is available as a PDF for downloading from the council popcorn webpage. See “Power Point – Kickoff Slide Show” Blue Button on the right side of the page.

DID YOU MISS POPCORN RALLY?

We’ve had fantastic participation in our Fall Kickoffs, featuring Popcorn & Membership! If you missed the kickoffs and are still in need of your Popcorn Sales Kit, please reach out to Jim Mason at jim.mason@scouting.org, as he has already been attempting to contact you.

The Sales start this Saturday, Aug. 23.

If your unit has not committed to the sale, please contact your district kernel or Jim Mason to discuss and ask questions. Your unit can participate in many ways to best accommodate your group. Consider traditional Show & Sell, with product in-hand, or Take Order, with just paper order forms, or utilize the new Early Bird Sale, a window with a shorter time commitment; or go with an Online Sale, where youth & the unit can share product info and have the sale delivered direct to the customer, with not product handling necessary by the unit. Or a combination of these opportunities. We want to take with you about selling this year because the product has an amazing taste.

Next Steps to Consider:

  1. Commit to Sell – See the grey box on the main popcorn page called “Informational Sign-up” and follow the instructions. Council Key is 449BSAC.
  2. Download Guidebook – go to council popcorn webpage, click blue box on right for “Unit Guidebook”
  3. Download the Kickoff Power Point - go to council popcorn webpage, click blue box on right for “Power Point”
  4. Reach out to your District Kernel or Jim at the office to discuss the sale and ask questions. Contact information is listed below.

Q: Our unit needs to change the unit kernel; can we add another person to the Unit account on Pecatonica website?

A: Adding another leader is not possible, but the unit can change the person who should be the unit kernel; or the unit can share the unit log-in and have a unit password for sharing. Lastly, reach out to Jim Mason for assistance.

Q: Having difficult time registering my Scout for the sale.

A: If your Scout had previously sold with Pecatonica in 2018 or prior, you will need their Scout Member ID or you may need to click "lost/forgot password" to receive reset instructions from the system.

Q: I'm having troubles updating my unit roster and do not know what to do?

A: Consider this, when Editing/Updating your unit roster as you "activate and/or inactivate" youth members, be sure to remember to click the "update" button to make the changes.

We're looking forward to seeing you have a successful sale this year!
