Let's rally and kickoff the Scouting year!

Join us for one of the 4 Fall Kickoffs to learn about the upcoming Scouting season, announcements, Membership & Fall Product Sale information. The dates, times and locations are listed below and unit leaders can attend any of the nights to fit their schedule.

There is an amazing array of activities and events coming, and get geared up to welcome many new families into Scouting and kickoff off a new year of Scouting.

Scout groups registering, committing to two recruiting events and participating in the Popcorn Sale will receive a FREE 6-foot by 2-foot banner for use at events.

For this year's kickoffs, there will be an opening, general announcement session before breaking out into TWO sessions focusing on Recruiting & Popcorn. Scout groups need to bring at least two volunteers to cover each breakout session.

Please bring all your group's leaders and parents who want to learn more about helping with your group's Scouting efforts.

For all units

  • Receive your groups basic recruiting flyer for use until you have set dates
    • If you know your recruiting Sign-up Night dates, time & location, contact your District Executive so they can prepare flyers for pickup. Two dates is asked, but additional dates can be added to flyer, so you are prepared for the Fall recruiting season.

    • Each year, units must re-register on the popcorn company website to ensure unit information is updated. The prior year's unit leader information is purged from the system.

This year's Fall Kickoff dates are:
  • Thursday, July 23, St. Michael's Catholic Church, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay. Entrance will be off main parking lot toward northside of building. Look for the Scout yard signs. Program begins at 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 28 at Camp Lakota, 2180 Ginter Rd., Defiance, Cooper Lodge, with program beginning at 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 11 in Celina, Purple Door Church, 1100 N. Main St., Celina. with program beginning at 7 p.m. Carry-in begins at 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 13 at the Lima Scout Shop, 752 W. Robb Ave., with fellowship & carry-in from 6-7 p.m., program beginning at 7 p.m.

(Expect each evening to last about 60-75 minutes)
