This fall camporee will look much different from previous camporees. The theme for this fall will be “Back To Scouting.” Instead of running many stations for scouts to participate in, we will have fewer stations, and have units work on activities back in their campsites towards advancement. The dates for the Camporee are October 9 - 11, 2020. We will check in starting at 6:00 pm Friday, check out will begin at 12:00pm Sunday.

Some of these activities include:

• Pocket knife safety (Scout 5) and Totin’ Chip
• Firem’n Chit
• The 6 basic knots (Scout 4a, Tend 3a - 3d, 2nd 2f 2g, 1st 3b)
• Lashings (1st 3a, 3b, 3d): A lashing station will be provided.
• First Aid (Tend 4a - 4d, 2nd 6a - 6e, 1st 7a - 7f)
• Hiking (Tend 5a - 5c, 2nd 4, 1st 5a - 5d)
• Cooking (Tend 2a - 2c, 2nd 2a - 2g, 1st 2a - 2e)
• Camping
• Navigation (2nd 3a - 3d, 1st 4a - 4b) There is a compass course at Lakota available for use. This will be available in shifts, but you must sign up for use.

This is a unit directed camporee being put on by the district, but not necessarily “staffed.”
