Lions Program

Training will be available at the August Roundtables.

Cub Scout Packs – The Lions program is coming to kindergartens this fall. Key unit leaders have received the Lion overview in the mail in March. Packs need to evaluate and decide if the unit is going to participate in Lions Program this fall. Units participating in the Lions program will need to recruit their Lions Guide and have them attend May’s roundtable for Lion Guide training. A Lion Guide is a registered position within the Pack. Volunteers cannot dual role positions (current cubmaster, den leader, or committee member cannot dual role in this position).

Download the Lions Program Overview here.

Download the Lions Program Request Form here.

THE EXTENDED FORECAST

BSA Safety Moment

Sun Safety

Scouting provides a wealth of opportunity for exciting outdoor adventures. Scouts can be seen swimming in lakes at Scout camp, sledding during a Klondike Derby, hiking beautiful desert and mountain trails, and camping under sun and stars during all seasons of the year. To decrease risk during these activities, Scouts and leaders should understand and implement appropriate safety measures that may help to prevent injury or other bodily harm. Yet, an important safety measure that may have the longest lasting impact is often unknown or overlooked: SUN SAFETY...[Read more]
