Real world, hands on experiences

Hello students & parents: if you're 14 to 20 years old and looking to gain valuable hands-on experience through an immersive workforce development program, you are invited to join the Exploring program! Through our community partners, we connect students with professionals in their local community and provide them with opportunities to learn more about their future careers. Our partners are hosting Open Houses throughout the next few weeks and we invite you and your family to Explore them and discover your future!

Students can sign-up and experience as many Exploring groups as their time permits without having to pay additional registration fees. The 12-month fee is $80. Please find our partnerships and Open House dates listed below.

Here in Hancock & Seneca County’s several such hands-on learning experiences are available now. Our local Exploring program was tops in Ohio for youth work-force development in 2019 and continues to be a strong local resource.

WHY SIGN-UP: Exploring is a unique career exploration program for young men and women ages 14 – 20. The program provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields. You get hands-on experience to determine whether a particular career field is right for you.

Students develop valuable networking contacts with professionals working in your selected career fields, and you get to know other youth with the same interests and aspirations. Exploring is the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.
