Boy Scout builds memorial for Venedocia veterans
By Todd Cummins, Hometown Stations - Assignment Editor
Veterans around Venedocia wanted a memorial to honor local services men and women and Dominic Adkins decided he was going to build one for his Eagle Scout Project.
Dominic, who's part of Troop 65 in Delphos, worked with local veterans to get a cannon used in World War II and he constructed a cement pad for the cannon to sit on and place war memorial on the pad to honor veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Dominic says they still need to paint the cannon and are raising funds to do that right now.
