It’s that time of year! MPC is once again partnering with Ohio Northern University (ONU) to sponsor the Engineering Explorers program. Meetings will be held once a month throughout the 2016-2017 school year and consist of hands-on activities, tours of operating engineering facilities, and engineering labs hosted at ONU’s campus. All high school students in Hancock County as well as sons and daughters of MPC employees are welcome to participate, so feel free to pass this information along to anyone else who you think might be interested!
Students may register for the 2017-2018 Engineering Explorers program at the kickoff meeting. The cost to participate in this year’s program is $24.00. Checks can be made out to Black Swamp Area Council. Cash is also accepted. Details regarding each month’s event will be sent out to everyone on the distribution list; please contact Kathryn Holbrook (kholbrook@marathonpetroleum.com) if you would like to be added to the list or with questions regarding the programs, registration requirements, or volunteer opportunities.
This year’s kickoff meeting will be held on September 28th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Marathon Office (539 South Main Street, Findlay OH). Parents are also encouraged to attend and learn what the Engineering Explorers program is all about. Please RSVP to Karen Adkins (karenladkins@marathonpetroleum.com) if you plan to attend the meeting – food will be served and we would like to ensure that there is enough for all participants.
