Preparing for the Future
The Boy Scout motto is Be Prepared and the Boy Scout movement helps to prepare young people for Life. Where the economy is going and how changes in the tax code are going to affect
individuals and organizations are important questions.
The Boy Scouts of America, Black Swamp Area Council is hosting a continuing education seminar and donor seminar on Tuesday, February 27, at Defiance College, Serrick Campus Center, Hubbard Banquet Room.
The Boy Scouts want to help you be prepared in your role as a professional or a donor. This first step in being prepared is to understand the environment, just as a Scout packs his gear for a weekend of backpacking.
Content that will be presented in our sessions will include an economic outlook and the effect of the changes in the tax code. In addition, content will be covered on what vehicles and tools are
available to individuals to provide support to the philanthropy of their choosing.
Our Distinguished Speakers:
· Jim Leonard, Estate Planning and Tax Attorney, Yellow Springs, OH
· Marcus Baker, Boy Scouts of America National Foundation, Major Gift Officer, Irving, TX
· John Augustine, Huntington Bank, Chief Investment Officer, Columbus, OH
Light breakfast will be served at 8:00 am and the program will begin at 8:15 am. This event is sponsored by Huntington Bank.
